Exceptional performances from the international talent combined with exciting performances from Britain's young talent ensured fans left having witnessed not only a great day's wrestling but a great day's entertainment.

Day of Reckoning VI

Robbie X vs Kyle O Reilly

The first match of the afternoon pit one of Britain's most promising young wrestlers against one of the best in the world. A couple of months ago, Kyle O Reilly had great success in NJPW by reaching the Best of Super Juniors Final only to be defeated by Kushida. This afternoon, O Reilly faces the challenge of Robbie X, who continues to improve every time he steps in between the ropes. The bell rings and the match is under way with a nice exchange between the two- O Reilly even compliments Robbie X personally. O Reilly wastes no time to start working over the left arm of Robbie X in preparation for his arm bar later on- Robbie X manages to wriggle free and begins to work on O Reilly's arm. Robbie X transitions into a leg lock but O Reilly has it scouted, reversing the hold as both men return to their feet. A flurry of forearms allow Robbie X to regain control as he hits a beautiful tornado ddt followed by a standing shooting star press for a near fall.

O Reilly continues to encourage Robbie X-even offering advice on what manoeuvre he should attempt next. O Reilly throws a couple of forearms, followed by a jumping knee to ground Robbie X before locking in his arm bar in the centre of the ring. Desperately reaching for the ropes, Robbie X tries to wriggle free but can not. O Reilly has the arm bar firmly applied before Robbie X, eventually, manages to get his foot on the ropes to break the hold. Both men rise to their feet, encouraged by the crowd, Robbie X lands a couple of blows that cause Kyle O Reilly to lose his balance- sensing his opportunity, Robbie X looks for that handspring ace crusher but O Reilly catches him and locks the arm bar in to make Robbie X submit in the centre of the ring.

Winner: Kyle O Reilly

Tyler Bate and Chris Hero vs The London Riots

Unquestionably, over the course of his career, Chris Hero has helped pioneer and define the genre of independent wrestling. Today, he acts as a mentor and partner to young Tyler Bate before the two meet in a 30 minute iron man match on the 9th August in St Neots. Bate and Hero will be teaming up to face a team that has been highly impressive as of late and can certainly lay a claim to being the best tag team in the UK today. The London Riots have strung together an impressive run of results which culminated in them defeating The Righteous Army for the Southside Tag Team Championships a couple of months ago.

Tyler Bate and James Davies of The London Riots get things under way with the latter gaining the upper hand early on. A series of quick tags allows The London Riots to maintain that initial advantage despite the best veteran advice Chris Hero has to offer. A belly to belly suplex grants Bate the opportunity to make the tag- which he does- tagging in Chris Hero. Hero takes down both members of The London Riots with a flurry of elbows and forearms. The numbers eventually catch up with Hero as the Riots regain control after a series of double team manoeuvres.

The match descends into a brawl as Bate arrives in the ring to even out the numbers-  Bate sends Davies crashing to the outside. Chris Hero delivers The Hero's Welcome to Rob Lynch for a close fall broken up by Davies. The London Riots regain the momentum after Davies lands a series of blows to the back of the head of Hero to momentarily incapacitate him. The London Riots deliver the powerbomb combination to Tyler Bate- Hero comes to the rescue to break up the count before he is tossed to the outside once again. After lining up Tyler Bate, The London Riots hit the catapult spear to pick up the victory in an impressive back and forth contest.

Winner: The London Riots

Mark Haskins vs Bobby Fish

Over the past couple of years, the star attraction Mark Haskins has established himself as one of the best technical wrestlers in Europe. Over the past couple of years, in tag team and singes competition, Bobby Fish has established himself as one of the best technical wrestlers in North America. When the two met at Southside's Day of Reckoning VI many fans were expecting to witness some of the best technical wrestling on the planet. Haskins and Fish did not disappoint.

As the match gets under way, Haskins and Fish lock up for the first time. Bobby Fish uses his experience to gain an early advantage, applying a headlock after a side headlock take town. Haskins, equal to the task, manages to escape to apply one of his own- which Fish too manages to escape from. The two lock up again, this time it is Haskins who takes down Fish with a side headlock take down before applying the stretch muffler submission- Fish reaches the ropes to break the hold. Fish flees to the outside to regain his energy and re focus his attentions as Haskins heads to the ring apron perhaps looking to mount some aerial offence- Fish swings a kick to attempt to prevent any high flying offence and misses but connects with a second attempt that sends Haskins crashing to the mat. Haskins, clutching his left leg, appears to have landed awkwardly- Fish, showing his years of experience, rolls Haskins back into the ring to begin working over the injured left leg of the former Southside Wresting Heavyweight Champion.

Fish applies a leg lock in the centre of the ring, not granting Haskins any time to recover. Haskins, summoning what remaining strength he has remaining, rolls through the leg lock to apply a sharpshooter- which Fish manages to somehow roll through to apply the leg lock once again but Haskins reverses again, firmly locking in a knee bar in the centre of the ring. Fish has no where to go before tapping out in a fantastic back and forth contest between two of the finest technicians on the planet.

Winner: Mark Haskins via submission

Kay Lee Ray and Jimmy Havoc vs El Ligero and Nixon Newell

Jimmy Havoc and Kay Lee Ray of The Righteous Army teamed up to face the team of Nixon Newell and the Southside Speed King Champion, El Ligero. The ring announcer informed the audience that if The Righteous Army wins, El Ligero's C4L ddt will be banned in tonight's match between Havoc and Ligero for the Speed King Championship-if the team of Nixon Newell and El Ligero wins, Jimmy Havoc's Acid Rainmaker will be banned.

El Ligero and Nixon Newell arrive to the ring first. As Jimmy Havoc appears from behind the curtain, Nixon goes flying to the outside with a suicide dive taking out Havoc. Kay Lee Ray blindesides Ligero as the match descends in to utter chaos before it has even began. Now both the men are down, Nixon and Kay Lee Ray brawl around the ring before the action spills outside into the parking lot. Meanwhile, Havoc and Ligero brawl around ringside before Ligero lays Havoc out on a table followed by a leg drop as the table refuses to break. Nixon Newell returns, dragging Kay Lee Ray from back behind the curtain as it is now seemingly Ligero and Havoc's turn to take the brawl outside.

The bell finally rings as Nixon tosses Kay Lee Ray into the ring as the match gets under way. Ligero and Havoc return from the wilderness to the hall, trading shots every step of the way. El Ligero parts the sea of humanity looking to toss Havoc into the chairs- Havoc reverses and sends Ligero hurtling into the chairs.

The Righteous Army, firmly in control now, set about the methodical dismantling of Nixon Newell. Jimmy Havoc tells Nixon to stay down but she just keeps getting back up only to be sent back down again. Eventually, El Ligero manages to stumble to his feet, before springboarding back into the ring only to be thrown back out to outside after a devastating Acid Rainmaker as The Righteous Army look to end this match. Havoc pulls a flaccid Nixon Newell to her feet before delivering a devastating Acid Rainmaker to pick up the three count.

El Ligero's C4L ddt is banned from tonight's championship match between Jimmy Havoc and Southside Speed King.

Winner: Kay Lee Ray and Jimmy Havoc

Flash Moran Webster vs Tommy End

As of late, Tommy End has been putting on not only some of the best performances of his career but some of the best performances worldwide. As part of the Sumerian Death Squad, End has featured in some fantastic matches against The Hunter Brothers and the N.A.K. In singles action, End has featured in outstanding matches with Drew Galloway, Mark Haskins and Chris Hero, who he will meet later on tonight. This match was no different throwing together an interesting clash of styles between Tommy End's hard hitting offence and Flash Morgan Webster's high flying ability.

Tommy End is the first to arrive followed by Flash Morgan Webster, who appears to have just parked up his Vespa outside carrying his helmet in with him. The bell rings and Flash Morgan Webster is immediately on the defensive, desperately attempting to avoid End's fierce kicks. Webster only manages to dodge the kicks for so long as the Anti Hero corners Webster, who manages to avoid a boot furiously heading in his direction. Webster rolls to the outside closely followed by Tommy End who connects with a roundhouse kick before delivering a scoop slam on the protective matting.

End rolls Webster back in the ring only for a two count- to which End lambastes the referee for a slow count. A fan shouts encouragement at End but End states he doesn't need anyone's help- and who can really argue with him. End corners Webster again, this time End lifts Webster up to the top rope- perhaps looking for a superplex- but Flash Morgan Webster reverses, delivering a huge frankensteiner that sends End reeling to the outside. Flash Morgan Webster follows it up with a huge 360 dive to the outside taking out the Occult Hitman. Morgan rolls Tommy End back into the ring, attempted pin- End kicks out at 2. Webster lands a sunset flip- only two again. Every time End rises to his feet he is bested by Webster, who keeps rolling him up in pinning combinations. Flash Morgan Webster plants End with a huge ddt. Morgan senses his opportunity to deliver a huge upset as he climbs to the top rope looking for that 450 splash but End raises the knees to block. Tommy End, having stopped Webster's flurry of offence, delivers a huge roundhouse kick almost ko-ing Webster to pick up the victory in an incredible match.

It is testament to just how good Tommy End's match with Chris Hero was that this match wasn't even the best match End wrestled during the day.

Winner: Tommy End

Stixx and Spud vs Joseph Connors and The Pledge

Before Spud makes his first defence of the Southside Wrestling Heavyweight Championship at Menace II Society V later in the day, he must first navigate a potentially problematic tag match with the two men he will face in the championship match in Day of Reckoning VI's main event.

The Heavyweight House of Pain, Stixx is the first to arrive donning a steel chain as a necklace. Spud arrives to a hero's welcome before The Righteous Joseph Connors arrives to vociferous boos accompanied by his partner for this afternoon and muscle of The Righteous Army, The Pledge. Wearing a knee length purple smocking jacket, Connors prowls around the ring before he and The Pledge head to the top of the ramp. After a lengthy discussion, Connors sends The Pledge to the ring so the match can get under way whilst he remains at ringside, refusing to stand on the apron. Unfortunately for The Pledge, it appears Stixx has only been agitated by Connors' antics as he begins to lay into The Pledge.

The Pledge, after rebounding of the ropes, is sent flying into the air and crashing to the mat just as quick by Stixx who takes this opportunity to inform Connors that he could stop this by participating in the match. Connors refusal encourages Stixx to send The Pledge flying back in the air again. A combination of quick tags and Joseph Connors refusal to enter the match allow Stixx and Spud to gain a significant advantage before Pledge sends Stixx to the outside. Ever the opportunist, Connors lands some cheap shots on Stixx. Spud best protestations do not save his team mate from the beat down as Spud determines to take matters into his own hands by chasing the former champion, Connors, around the ring.

Joseph Connors distraction allows The Pledge ample time to regain his composure. On his return to the ring, Spud is sent to the outside and once again Connors takes advantage by tossing the man that defeated him for the Southside Heavyweight Championship head first into the ring post. Connors decides now is an appropriate time to enter the match, finally taking his jacket off to enter the ring. Connors works over the arm of the champion who manages to make a tag to his partner, Stixx, who delivers a huge power slam to Connors.

Stixx heads to the corner to line up the spear but Spud tags himself in- tensions rise between the champion and the number one contender as the two face off in the corner, neither willing to back down. Joseph Connors, sensing his opportunity, pushes Spud into Stixx who pushes him back- Joseph Connors grabs a handful of tights whilst rolling up Spud as Stixx watches and does nothing. The Righteous Army pick up the victory as Connors takes advantage of the miscommunication. Connors and The Pledge flee immediately as Stixx holds Spud's championship belt up high, perhaps a signal of things to come later tonight.

Winner: Joseph Connors and The Pledge
